The Big News

We found out today that we will have a baby girl in February! We had our first ultrasound and saw our beautiful girl. We have to go back for another one next month, because she is already stubborn (like her dad) and wouldn't turn her face towards us. Next time we are hoping to see her lips and eyes (well at least the lids), and her nose.

Her heartbeat is at 140 and we were told that anything from 120 to 160 is good. We saw all four chambers and the aorta and they were doing their job.

The one thing she is very proud of is her leg. She moved her legs around like crazy. Every time the ultrasound camera came toward her she would flash her bum and wiggle her legs. The ultrasound technician said she could tell our baby was proud to be a girl because she kept showing us that she is a girl and not boy.

We are very happy that all is going well with the baby and can hardly believe that we are already in our fifth month. Time is really going by fast!

We really like the very best baby site. You can go there and look at the progress babies make week by week. We are currently on week 21 and so we can see how I am changing and what's going on with the baby. Moms-to-be can also track their weight gain, eating habits, and other items. We highly recommend the site. It's something that maybe Jeannette and Kathryn might be interested in as well.

Welcome!

Welcome to our site! We thought this would be a great way for our family and friends to stay in touch with us and know what's going on in our lives!

We are currently expecting our first child and we find out tomorrow - 21 September - if we will have a boy or a girl. We think it will be a boy, but you never can tell.

Right now Donnie is majoring in accounting at BYU and he spends most of his time doing homework. It will be nice when this semester is over and he can breathe for a little bit.

Amy is currently in her last semester at BYU and will graduate in December. She is working for the newspaper on campus, The Daily Universe as an assistant editor and she is interning at a local paper, the Daily Herald, writing for the entertainment section.

We hope you'll enjoy our site and visit often!
